    American Symphony: Western

A brass quintet arrangement of the "An American Symphony: I. Western" for string orchestra. Please enjoy. This isnot the full length of this movement, it has been purposefully shortened for use in my brass quintet the Maisontet Quintet.

    A very nice arrangement.

It is interesting tio see how a piece can be played in just a few pieces of brass.

    Well done

    Sounds great, Tuba!

The arrangement sounds marvelous. Has The Maisontet Quintet performed this yet, or rehearsed it? Surely they'll have a great time with it if they haven't already played it.

It might be my little speakers not being able to handle it, but I had distortion on the loudest notes.

Thanks for sharing your love of and expertise with Brass - This sparkles!

    Re: American Symphony: Western

i only had minor distortion issues Bowser. I adjusted my speaker settings though, and it corrected the issue for me. I probably could have lowered the volume of it a little more though. Thanks for listening everyone.

BTW, I did contact the composer, Jeffrey S. Bishop, and got his permission to arrange this piece.

    Tuba:

Really enjoyed listening to your brass arrangement of this
composition. You captured quite a lot with just brass.

Great arrangement. A bit of minor distortion at one point, but not distracting.

Very nice arrangement. I do love brass. I wish I had more time in my busy schedule right now to listen to more stuff (let alone to write anything), but I'm glad I picked this one to listen to!

    P.S.:

I also heard significant clipping on this, by
the way, even on the studio JBL's.
