And now for something completely different !!!

    Hi all

This track is called "Blue Disturbance"

It is a short guitar based piece using GPO Lush Strings, Cello and Double Bass ... Oh and 5 Gibson Les Pauls ...

Well, the same one really all played by me.

The guitars were recorded straight into the soundcard via a Boss GT-8 Guitar multi effects processor.

It's about time I got back into guitar playing again lol

    ---YEAH, Paul!

I have always sensed this great - Friction in your work. There's a pent-upness, a reaching for what you want - the place where all authentic Art comes from.

You probably are never satisfied, pushing yourself to go beyond what you even think you can do - because that's where the new territories are found.

Listening to this, it's crystal clear that the electric guitar is an extension of you, and YES you should never lose track of playing your axe. But you can combine it with the balls of energy you work up with your software libraries too. You Can do it all.

This is the best acid-blues-rock I've heard in ages.

I admire what you do. That's all.

Reminds of some Ronnie Montrose (is that the way you spell it?) I once heard. Anyway, I don’t listen to this type of music all that often these days, but it sounded good.

Rock on man!! A good tune and great chops.

I think you have your own style on the guitar. You get into it.

Hide your daughters, the rock n' rollers are on the loose.

Some stellar guitar work in this, Paul... loved it!

I like the overall sound and feel on this a great
deal, too. Clean arranging with a full sound that,
yet, doesn't go "over the top" on the pads and
the backup work. Maybe drop the percussion down
just a hair... take some of the edge of it.

Come on back with more like this!

    My best,

Paul - I'm hoping more Forum members have a chance to hear this work of yours. It's not only a great track, but it's so fun how it's an unusual piece to hear in The Listening Room.

    hence - the BUMP!

Thank you all for the great comments guys

I love the sound of orchestral instruments working with rock guitar (try Metallica with the London - I think - Symphony Orchestra ... simply beautiful

I have posted a new song on XAMPY called "Where are you?" Unfotunately I can't post it here because there are no GPO instruments involved

    More to come

    Thank you all again

    Paul
