    Come Running, Ye Shepherds

A Traditional, Silesian Carol (traditional German).
    A light-hearted song.

A lovely carol, Gary; not one I think I've heard before.

Is this also for that Christmas CD you're putting together?

    My best,

    Thanks for listening, David.
I will be including this on my album.
The German title is O LAUFET IHR HIRTEN.

    Gary,

Very nice carol. The harpsichord is the perfect choice for it, the follow on wind instruments are the right contrast. Thanks for sharing it here.

    Thanks for listening, Gary.
The harpsichord is a challenge since it only plays one volume. It
brings a need for more dynamic markings in other parts.

For some who may not be familiar with this instrument, it was the predecessor to the piano. It's limits actually gave the piano its name (pianoforte) because pianos could play both loud & soft.
