recording and playback sounds not sync'd in strad/gof

finally got the strad 2.0 and gofriller cello!!!!! (another reason for procratinating exam study?)
the sound is absolutely gorgeous, especially in the cello, makes me feel like du pre or yoyo ma on the real thing...

    but some issues...

i am having a hard time recording music in my sequencer (sonar). after i recorded say, the violin track and am going to record the cello part, the violin part seems to be a bit early/ahead than the metronome which i locked at. this makes it difficult to match with the part i'm recording now since it can mess up my timing/rhythm. has anyone experienced this issue before?

    Hi Luke,
first, congratulations on your purchase of these two awesome instruments.

Make sure to set your buffer (latency) setting to as low a numer as possible withough glitches, pops or clicks.

When you are done recording, set it to the highest or around 1024.
    I hope that helps.

did you mean the latency in the audio options menu under the general tab? there is also an option above the buffer size called "buffers in playback queue" does that have something to do as well?

also in this SONAR (6) there is no "VST synth" under the insert menu, only "soft synth", is that the same as VSt or DXi ones?

    kanazo,
I don't have Sonar, so I don't know where to tell you to look for the buffer setting. I am talking about the buffer setting in Sonar, if that is what you are recording with.

I'm not sure about your other question, sorry.

it appears that i only have this problem when using kontakt2 as plugin in the sequencer. i used to use GPO studio for GPO so i did not have these problems...

ok, this is solved by tweaking around with some option stuffs...

    however..

another problem: audio engine stops unexpectly even when NOTHING is going on (ie. no recording, playback, just idling)
