Massenet "Meditation" submitted by B. Degazio [STRAD]

Mr. Degazio has sent in this rendition of the Massenet "Meditation" from Thais for violin and piano.

Here is the link to the Massenet "Meditation

    http://www.garritan.com/mp3/DegazioM...onMassenet.mp3

The Stradivari was performed with an EWI 4000 wind controller. He writes "the vibrato is all 'live' with the EWI ... and of course each phrase is shaped dynamically with the breath". This is a very expressive rendition and shows how lovely and lyrical the Stradivari can sound with a wind controller.

Thanks Mr. Degazio for sharing this with us.

    Best,

    Gary Garritan

Thumbs up Re: Massenet "Meditation" fsubmitted by B. Degazio

Gunther, past tense of hear is heard. It is pronounced just like herd, as in herd of sheep. I know English is weird, we must have just kinda made some of it up as we went along.

    Gary and Mr. Degazio,

It is exquisite! I wouldn't have ever thought of using a wind controller for strings, but i guess if you're a wind player at heart, it would be the way to go. It certainly works well, so expressive. I have to get me one of those.

Question Re: Massenet "Meditation" submitted by B. Degazio [STRAD]

    Exceptional rendering:
I would like to know exactly how it was done and how the wind controller was used in the rendering process. Thanks
    John
