    Fog in the Dark Forest

Well, I felt like writing something rather like a foggy waterfront or foggy graveyard at night. I don't know why I wanted to do so; perhaps because of the dreary weather here lately. Maybe it is just the effect of arthritis, shingles, and tick bites!

    Hi, Richard -
Eeeeerie. I vote for "Foggy Graveyard", though. The piercing melody reminded me more of a graveyard than the forest. Maybe a more subdued sound for a forest, IMHO.

    Hi Richard,

Very ominous. I think you captured the feeling just right. Spooky...

    Richard,

I can see the forest; I can see the fog. Bone-chilling! Effective stuff!

    Thanks for posting this.

Very moody and ominous. “Dreary” also fits. And also, well, very foggy.

Great Music for when I take my midnight walks thru the cemetary.

Would love to hear some brass accompaniment.

    Well Done

    Hello, Richard

Your title intrigued me - The Fog in the piece is even thicker than I'd anticipated. I enjoyed getting lost in it - I'm currently enjoying many things Gothic, so your piece provided an enjoyably chilling experience this morning. Thank you.

Richard, you've set off my arthritis, and I don't
    even have arthritis.

The strangely compelling darkness of this... quite
an exercise in setting scene and color!

Do I feel a suite of these coming on, perhaps?

    My best,

Re: Fog in the Dark Forest

I imaged some people in long black robes walking with lanterns in that dark forest in the fog. God only knows what they were up to.

This was a little different emotionally. Like something out of an Edger Allen Poe tale.
