    Question regarding SONiVOX symphonic collections

To those who own the collection,

Have couple questions regarding the SONiVOX symphonic collections in GS3 format:

    1. Are the long samples looped, ie legato/trills for all, tremolo strings... etc ?
    2. Is DEF ( Dynamic Expression filter ) defined for those long samples ?
    3. Is there a PDF file for the collection, explaining/illustrating the samples on the web ?

I like to investigate it further before I own it.

    Thanks,

    esz

Yes, all long samples are looped. -TRUE- legato with interval sampling is only available for the woodwind samples though.
    2. Is DEF ( Dynamic Expression filter ) defined for those long samples ?
Yes, for most instruments. There are a few exceptions, but you can add your own for those. The DEF works especially wonderfully with the brass instruments and gives them extra "oomph".
    3. Is there a PDF file for the collection, explaining/illustrating the samples on the web ?
Unfortunately, no, but they are uniformly excellent IMO. I'm very happy with the collection and use it all the time. I have a sample of the 4 horns bells up patch with the built in DEF playing the star trek fanfare on my site.

Thanks very much. Yes, I like the DEF on brass very much. It seems that in GS3 they are very effective on brass samples.

BTW, do you know if there is online resources for doing your own DEF ?
