All I Ask of You by DPDan

    Hi everyone,
I wanted to do something special for all the folks who bought so many of the Garritan libraries this past week, particularly the Gofriller and Stradivari.

Quite a few years ago, I recorded a string quartet named Laclede Quartet.
They played a great selection of Andrew Lloyd Webber tunes. One specific song that I love is "All I Ask of You
The last lyrics.... at least I think they are....

"anywhere you go let me go too.... Love me, that's all I ask of you"

    What wonderful lyrics.

So, this is by ear from their CD which is still available at www.lacledequartet.org

It's not without issues, but it was fun making nonetheless

    Wow... just gorgeous implementation of this, Dan;
as always, my friend, your craftsmanship makes
these samples sing with feeling and nuance that
few of us can even begin to imagine achieving.

    With admiration,

Wow, Dan... WOW! This is something special! I'm not sure what "issues" you're talking about... the only issue I have is that I didn't order the Strad along with the Gofriller during the Go-Round, now that I've heard this. (Actually, I decided to spend the money on my very patient wife for Christmas instead... I can wait a while).

You're a master at this type of work, and this just further solidifies your presence in that category. Any more quartets to come?

Great way to end a Saturday evening! Thanks!

holy cow you guys are fast, I had the wrong mix posted, the new one is better
I had Altiverb's stage position not set where I wanted the quartet, I told them to sit a little closer to the front of the stage.

    Thank you both!!!

Dan, this is bonzer! Now I'm drooling (over your treatment and with anticipation of my Gofriller arrival).

Excellent job, Mr. Dan. Smooth as silk. Realistic as can be. I enjoyed your rendering very much. Thanks for posting.

Beautifully . . . masterfully done, Dan. I haven't heard this song in many years. I've always like it. I most certainly like your rendition of this piece.

Happy Holidays to you and your family, Dan!

Music and humor are healthy for the soul.

This is a great song and you have made it sound so good. You have used some very expressive techniques there, especially whn the Pizz strings come in.

Good stereo work as well. Rgds. Mike.
