    Arrow "On The Avenue"

    Y'all All,

This is my "On The Avenue".

I first posted this work about 1 1/2 years ago. Since then I have made changes to it including switching from the GPO Steinway piano to the JABB instrument. I also tweaked many individual notes, changed the reverb settings, introduced several intentional timing irregularities in the piano part and remixed it.

With the exception of the JABB Steinway piano, all of the instruments are from the GPO sample library.

    Regards to all,

    Larry

    Hi, Larry

It's a fun piece, maybe more of a Song than we usually hear from you. Effective dashes of tension with the "dissonant" notes in the piano part for the main theme. The dashes of orchestra and other soloists are always welcome, I think I would have liked more of them.

I bet you find it satisfying to re-visit older works and revive them freshly like this, with newer instruments - I like doing that. It's something like getting out the brass polish to rescue an interesting but tarnished piece sitting on a shelf.

    Thanks Mr. A.

Nice job on the rework, Larry; enjoyed hearing!

Perhaps you might post a link to the earlier version
    so we can compare.

This file overwrote the earlier file. I never keep old files that have been improved. Should I?

    Thanks for listening, Mr. Dave.

I've been around a long time to write all of those melodies, Mr. Dan.

    Happy New Year to you!

A well done piano piece. It sounded like baroque with romantic leanings.

There are two things in Texas: Oil wells and Melody wells.
The latter belongs to Larry and has greater richness as those oil wells.
He must have as many melodies in his head as his beard has hairs outside

    Thank you, Larry
