In December, we here in NW Illinois received precipitation as either snow or ice nearly 2-3 times each week.
Add to that very cold temps, and the result is scenery that is very beautiful.
I had the opportunity to take some pics on the foggy mornings of New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in and around the countryside near where I live.

The silly thing is, the past few days has been record temps - 60's - rain - all this beautiful snow is gone, gone gone. But... it is now back to 28 degrees and will be snowing again tommorrow. Go figure.
