GVI4 vs. GVI for Windows XP Users?

I realize that GVI4 can now run on a Mac and now has RTAS support. However, for someone who uses GVI (Original) on a WinXP 32 computer as a VST, is there any improvment over GVI Original?

I did not see any specific text on the Tascam website about this.

The upgrade from GVI (Original) to GVI4 is $99, so put another way, what do I get for my $99?

One major change from Giga/GVI 3 to 4 is the DEF being a standard filter instead of iMidi. This results in being able to add a DEF or change DEF settings through QuickEdit, which should be applicable to GVI as well. DEF is a very useful filter IMO so this should be well worth the upgrade cost.

DEF is probably my favorite feature in GS3, alongside GigaPulse. Having it fully integrated will be excellent.

GVI4 will also come with a standalone QuickSound database app.

TASCAM has also integrated a nice instrument "audition" function into GVI4, similar to the one currently available in GS3.
