    Hiberna Divinus

    I did not write this.

    But I love it!

This is from Daniel, someone I met on YouTube. He shared with me a MIDI of this piece; I thought it was beautiful and was happy to GPO-ize for him. I hope you'll enjoy it as well! Thanks for listening!

    Hey Sean,
    and Daniel,

    Very well done.

The most important fact for a great work, like this one, is it's memorable melody masterfuly woven around great sensitvity and passion.

    Very much enjoyed!
Thank you for converting and posting this one Sean.

A characteristically very well done realization of Daniel's lovely
piece, Sean. Listened through this twice, a tranquil respite
    after a difficult day.

Sean, did you also do the arranging and orchestration on this?
Very adroitly done... the clarity of line and flow; the attention
    to contrast and color.

    My best,

    Talking Re: Hiberna Divinus

    Hi,
Sean, thanks again for GPO-izing my MIDI! I really appreciate it. I'm finally getting Sibelius and GPO; it's being shipped as I post. I had to write "Hiberna Divinus" in that stubit freeware, Finale Notepad 2008, which limited me to 8 staves (would've put an entire string section instead of just a cello and bass), wouldn't allow pizzicato strings (would've added during the harp solo) and other irritating things... I decided to sign up for the NorthernSounds.com forums; my first post, a reply to this thread. Buahaha!

Thank you everyone, for your flattering comments. It's hard to believe the complements to my composition... (I'm a beginner.)

I admit, I stole a lot of my techniques composing this from Sean... It was partially inspired by his "Broken Swords".

It's very eloquent, charming and magical which means I thinks it's great also.

It makes me think of a lovely day in the country with flower laden meadows surrounded by beautiful snow capped mountains.

Thanks! As I was writing this... I sort of imagined a winter scene something like this:

Hence, Hiberna Divinus. Latin for Sacred/Divine Winter.

It's all Daniel's orchestration; I agree he did a great job with it!
