    Extended string ranges

Using Sibelius 4 & 5 with appropriate GPO and Kontakt versions - I need the notes on orchestral violins above d7 (i.e. Eflat, E, F, Fsharp, G, etc.), similar extensions to violas, cellos and basses. How is this done using GPO (i.e. classical, romantic or "modern" orchestra).

If you have Kontakt (full version) you can open the instruments and stretch the highest note of the groups.

In the full version of Kontakt you can open the Mapping Editor of a loaded patch and assign that sample will play on. Find the highest sample, and increase its range by clicking on its edge and dragging it to the right until it passes the keyboard representation of the note you want it to play.
