    Hello to all,

Once in a while one wants to take a break from composing and learn from what others have composed.

Ottorino Respighi is best known for his orchestral works, and little for his piano works.
One of my musical discoveries this year was this piano piece by Respighi.

This is my first project with the Steinway and I’ve learned a lot from it.
It is performed by my 'mouse' in the 'recital hall' of Cubase…

    Enjoy!

    Yudit:

A delightful piece I must say and you did a wonderful job
of bringing it to life. Did you play it "live?" It sounds so
natural that it is hard to decide whether it was stepped-
time or live. Either way, it is just great.

About the reverb: My headset sounded like the piano was
in a small room and a little muffled (but nice). The piano
overall is done very well though.

It's got to be "live" as it is so full of expression.

Lovely rendition, Yudit. You managed to mould the phrases, tempo changes and dynamics to make it flow like an actual performance.
Also thanks for introducing another aspect of Respighi that we didn't know about, that of the piano minaturist!

Very beautifully performed music. You did a wonderful job with this. I have to admit that I don't know this piece at all and that it is the first time that I have heard it. It is a great piece. Thank you, I enjoyed it a lot.

Many thanks for your compliments! I'm very glad you enjoyed this piece.
I don't own yet a keyboard (am saving to buy a good 88 one).
I tried to imitate my own playing on my piano into detailed work in Cubase.
I'm quite happy with what I achieved so far, but I know I can do even better...
About the reverb: My headset sounded like the piano was
in a small room and a little muffled.
I used only the GPO Ambiance 'Recital Hall'. I wanted it to have the sound of a small room.

    I like that...

Thank you for the listening, my friend in CA.

Amazing! The piece is quite charming -- but the rendering -- really sounds like a human. The slightly muffled sound reminds me of classic recordings

I have to agree with everyone else...this is really well done! Very life-like!

Idle question...is this in 6/8? That is what it felt like to me, but I wanted to confirm.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

    Glad you liked my rendition.
I have some more not so known piano pieces which I'm going to render and post here as well.
    Thanks for listening!
