    Upgrading Snorlax

    OK...

After listening to all the conversations here, I went out this week & got Wizooverb 2 & 5.1 on sale and Sonar 7 PE.

Now all I have to do is learn how to use them wisely.

I'm still going to have to at least start in notation (NO keyboard skills) but now I can do all my tweaking and do my "mixing"--such as it may be--in Sonar.

I have some downtime before school starts the spring term, and I will be knee-deep in tutorials, so I may post less frequently (thank heaven for small favors) for a while.

All words of wisdom accepted with gratitude...

That's great to hear that Jim!
Although I am not familiar with Sonar,
there are alot of folks here that use it,
so you should be in good hands.

    Cool!

    Hello Jim,

I think you will be delighted with Sonar.

I know what you mean about the learning aspects. I had ever only used Finale and when I first got Sonar I didn't know where to begin.

After spending endless hours, often through the night, with tutorials and manuals and with the help of the folks over at the Sonar Forums and our own 'Sonar experts' here in our own forums I'm now well on my way.

I was staggered at what I could actually do with my Finale MIDI files in Sonar, just about anything is possible. I'm sure you will really enjoy your new programs. Now there's just that little thing .. the learning curve .. in the way .. you may enjoy that bit too

I think we as a forum should push for the development of the MIDI Euphonium..

Sorry, I pressed that button twice..... there is no wisdom in it.

    Cool Jim!

    I echo everyone's sentiments.

Garritan stuff works very nicely in Sonar and Wizooverb is a solid product.

If you haven't already, you should load up z3ta and play around with it for a few minutes (hours, weeks).

    Best,
    Reegs
