Sample rate question- your Audio device

I have an Edirol UA-1000 and every time I want to change the sample rate- let's say from 44.1 to 48k I have to shut down my computer and the Edirol then restart everything to use the new rate. Is this typical? I wish I could just change the rate and open a new project in Cubase without having to reboot everything. I'm curious what others do.

    Thanks!

    Hi Sean,

It's not typical here when using Echo Gina24 cards, but some software is problematic in that I have to do the same as you.
    With Sonar ... no problems.
