    CoMB is marching again

    Hello friends,

many days passed after I had posted here somewhat.

So today I will let you know about my last composition, a march what I had orchestrated with CoMB. My last days were not happy, because my father died.

But, live goes on and I have composed a happy march and named it
    "Fröhlich" ( Fröhlich=happy )

Three days ago, when I was mixing it, my harddisc was broken and I had lost all the audiodata... . So today I have made a fast new mix and hope you enjoy this march.

My condolences to you, Gunther, concerning your Father.

Your march is excellent! I love your unexpected chordal progressions. Sehr gut!

    Thank you for posting this.

    Best regards,

    Hi Gunther,

condolences for you and your family!

I like your mindset writing fröhliche Musik in this situation. For me in the happiest music there is often some drama, and in sad music there is often hope.

This is refreshing and well written and produced. The two suggestions I would have concern phrasing. If it were mine I would work with a little tempo and dynamic variations to emphasize the arcs.

Nevertheless I like it very much and hope you are doing well

    Gunther,

Very catchy, a lot of fun - frohlich, indeed! It is a marvel that you could compose this in a time of personal sorrow. But then Mozart wrote the Magic Flute when things around him were horrible...

The piccolo part is just right, and the modulations come at just the appropriate moment(s).

Very sorry about your father. I hope you find peace in the coming days and months ahead.

I enjoyed this march very much, especially the restrained but positive mood of the piece.

I personally like to celebrate the memories of life when confronted with death, and your music was in keeping with that.

I enjoyed your march Gunther. It was delightful.

I'm glad you have maintained your sense of humor with the ending.

I think a sense of humor about life can help heal ones wounds.

What a great Eulogy for your Father. I am sure he would be proud.

I personally prefer celebrating one's life more than mourning it.

    Well Done

    Hi Gunther,

Sorry to hear about your father. As you said, life goes on and I'm sure he would have liked you to be 'Fröhlich'!
It is good that one can turn to music any time, good or bad.
It seems that composing marches are a natural thing for you.
    I enjoyed it. Danke!
