Good News

Well, some good news for me. This morning (thats afternoon to most of you) I was awakened by a phone call. A pianist (the one who asked me to write a left hand solo) called and wants to come by in a few days to go over two scores with me. He has already begun studying them for performance. So my day has started out well.

He inquired about the inspiration, if any, for Aubade, and after a slight pause, I told him I consider it my Cole Porter composition. Cole Porter said that the only inspiration he needed was a phone call from his publisher. (In my case, a pianist.)
