    "Piano Concerto #03, Movement #01

    All,

This is a tweaked, rewritten, excised excerpt from the first movement of my "Piano Concerto Number Three".

The original file is lengthy and I had to cut a large part of it in order to be able to upload it to my music website. I guess I didn't do a good job of deleting some of it because what resulted is just a "shadow" of its former self with resultant incomplete thematic development.

    It is all GPO.

    Regards to y'all.

    Hi, Larry

Your Piano Concerto #3 provides another very pleasant visit to the Alexander Music Factory!

But if you're unhappy with the excising you did, why not try a different edit? And best - find yourself a server for your music that doesn't impose these kind of arbitrary time/size limitations on your work.

    Thanks--Enjoyed.

    Thanks for listening, Mr. Rand.

I am happy with my present website server other than the ten megabyte file size limit.

A strong, well structured concerto. Very enjoyable.

It always sounds like you could compose with one arm tied behind your back.

It's snowing here again and I have to be at St. Martin's College early in the morning for pesticide classes. I might play hooky tomorrow.

Sixty-six degrees Fahrenheit here as we speak. That's cold!

Thanks for giving it a listen, Mr. Phil. I liked your latest posting also.

A very strong, well made movement, Larry; though I do
think I'd prefer to hear the unabridged version to get a
better idea of the complete thinking involved.

Unusual for a standard server to have a file size limit,
like that. Don't they understand we musicians must
not be subjected to such frivolous limitations? Shame
    on them.

I don't know the reason for their file size limitation. They are a huge world-wide company and their technical help is handled by people in foreign countries. It's difficult to understand what these people are saying because of their inability to speak understandable English.

Thanks for your comments, Mr. Dave.

Enjoyed this Larry. I like the restrained use of orchestration to provide contrast and support where needed - very effective and well handled. Another fine effort, even in it's abridged form.

    Hi Larry,

Even in its somewhat neutered state, this remains a powerful musical statement. The piano work was just terrific throughout, and you did a wonderful job with the orchestral interplay. Some very, very nice lilting melodies in the woodwind/string ensemble sections. My listening time has unfortunately recently become quite limited, but I'm certainly glad I grabbed a few minutes for this; it was (not unexpectedly) well worth it!

    Great job, Larry!

    Danny
