    MFX: Key Peddler

I am VERY new to this arena. I have no sustain peddle at the present so decided to try the plugin (KeyPeddler). I installed as directed, the .dll files are in the Shared MIDI Plugins but they do not show up when I open Sonar. I am using the Pocket version if that makes a difference, I wouldn't think it would.

I am feeling WAY in over my head here; I just want to be able to add some tracks to my own compositions. I play the Hammered Dulcimer and way to expand my horizons a bit

    Hi vjohnson -

You need a program called "Cakewalk VST adaptor". I have it and I don't remember paying for it, so it must come with Sonar. Search your C:\Program Files area.

You need to run this everytime you add or remove a VST plugin.

re; "over my head" - Be patient. No one who knows this stuff picked it up overnight.

If he has Sonar 6 or 7 the VST Wrapper is included within Sonar and will automatically run whenever you add a new VST plugin and reboot Sonar. It is no longer a separate program.

Ah, thanks for the update, jaybee.

I have Sonar 4 and didn't know about the change.

Wow, here's a blast from the past...

Anyway, you need to register the .dll on your system. You should just be able to double-click the "TcMfxKeyPeddler.bat" file to do this if it was installed with the .dll file. If not, make sure that's in the shared folder, too.

The .dll file IS in Shared Midi Plugins and I DID run the .bat file from that folder and got a successful registration. They still do not show up?? Am I looking for it in the wrong place: I got to MID FX/Cakewalk. When I look in the Plugin Manager under MFX is says there are only the 7 Cakewalk .dlls registered??
