Why Stradivari and Gofriller are no longer available?

My question is why is not posible any more to buy the Stradivari library at the Garritan site?

The Stradivari and Gofriller have been discontinued. We will have another strings solution in our new player in the not too distant future.

I am very glad with my Gofriller and with the GPO!
Specially I like the Gofriller because I have the feel to be actually playing the instrument (I am a professional Orchestra violinist).
Longing to see the new player.

Every time you need to use the Strad or cello you will have to use the Kontakt player2.

The major thing that bothers me about this discontinued Strad and Gofriller is, this means there will more than likely never been any updates or fixes for any potential problems that arise with them. A tad frustrating for something just bought around a month ago. Had I known this, I MIGHT have hesitated to acquire them.

I was going to purchase the Goffrilla. Time+Space still have them at £130. Which is too costly for something unsupported and discontinued.

The Strad and Gofriller will be included in GOS 2 as well as other solo strings. I believe Gary mentioned on another thread that there will be a discount for current owners of these instruments.

Gary - please let us know where we stand as current owners of the Stad and Cello. I have both. It sounds like you are going to a new sampler arrangement that will be much better.

So what will it cost to replace them in the new format?

I am also hoping to get the Steinway.

Just as a question, are the samples still available anywhere? (Like places such as Amazon)

And, exactly, in curiosity, what were they, in comparison to strings in GPO, ect?
