I know it is recorded too low volume wise but I don't know how to correct it. I made both wav and aiff files, then increased the volume with Audacity but I couldn't figure out how to convert that file to an mp3 because Switch rejected the file. I finally used iTunes to make the mp3 but they're always at a much lower level.
Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted.
FYI: This is to be played in only the best department stores and elevators.
Thanks to garymosse I re-recorded it and I think it is at least audible now.
I'm not sure this will help, but....
have you checked the mixer size of room
mixer volume level
reverb in the instrument GPO/JABB
dynamic level set in the music.
These are suggestions similar to "is the computer plugged in..."
Thank you Gary, I redid it, USING THE MIXER (duh!) and reposted it. I hope this level is better.
Andino: I knew it was soft but I didn't plan on "inaudible." I have been recording everything way too low, forgetting that one can TURN DOWN the volume while listening.
Please advise if this one is any better.
Thanks for listening.
All right sos!! that's beautiful.. I like the precision of the changes..
I don't speak english well, so it's hard for me to express something, specially about music.. , but it's still too slow, but I guess it's a software issue for the moment, out of that it sounds great for me..
"I don't speak english well, so it's hard for me to express something, specially about music.. , but it's still too slow,"
Do you mean too slow (tempo) or too low (volume)? Tempo is correct for me but I agree as to the volume, as I am still trying to learn to manipulate everything.
Thanks for your insight as to the harmonies.
I like to say you that this arrangement is one of the finest I heard for so long time from this tune. Very lovely and very nice and well and charming reharmonized.
Is there a score available..please let me know..
Thank you. I must confess that a lot of my changes were pirated from Bill Evans, amended with my own twists here and there.
I will be most happy to email as score to you. Where do I send it?
It is a midi score I made with Finale, so it will be pretty much bare bones since I don't have to extract parts. OK?
