    Tune 301

    Hello,
This is piece in D minor. Working title is 'Tune 301'. All instruments are GPO. Part of theme I used as counter melody in one earlier piece.

That's a great melody, and I love the way you've weaved counter melodies through it using different instruments in turn.

Maybe consider varying the texture of the backing chords? E.g. variations in dynamics, octaves, a few changes in rhythm etc? Just a thought.

    Nice job.

    Uncomplicated and pretty.

I agree with the Britisher Gentleman above that you need a variety of sounds in your background sustained chords.

    Good writing.

Very pleasant sound and lovely melody.
The repeating harmony and themes have a calming effect which is I like.
    It deserves a lovely name.

You are right I will make some chord changes. There won't be big changes in rhythm because of nature of material.
    Thank you for your suggestions.

Thank you for your comment. I've started with full chords which limited further development. I think that I will make difference between first and second part and include brass. Piece is too long and I will make it shorter.

Thank you for your post and comments. I will try to find suitable name. This is working title. Instrumental music allows you freedom and good choice.

This does indeed have a very calming texture to it. A pleasing theme and a subtle bit of harmony thrown in as well. As has been said a rhythm change would only enhance this. Perhaps even a tempo change as well.

    Nice piece

I'm thinking about your proposal. It's interesting idea but there are some problems I hope that I will solve.
    Thank you very much.

Like so much you do, there's a beguiling simplicity
to this, very straightforward: it says what it has
to say without excursion or digression.

Very well done rendering in this; sensitive and
well controlled, with a smooth, finely finished,
    velvety veneer to it.

Much enjoyed, my friend; I reveled in the calmness
    of this...

    My best,
