Topic: OT - Blowing my horn...

Smile OT - Blowing my horn...

I just thought I'd pass this along to this community. I've been accepted as a member of the CCG (Cleveland Composer's Guild). It is a group of local composers who give concerts of their music and recieve grants and commissions for works.

I just thought this community would like to know.

Congrats on becoming a member of the club. Let's hope those commissions start finding their way to your doorstep soon.

Actually, wouldn't it be "waving your own baton?"

Post one of your live performances when you get a chance!

The one thing I've found about backups is they are useless unless you make them regularly. My clients won't make them on a regular basis unless it is riddiculously easy to do. So what I tell them is to buy an external hard drive like Maxtor's "one touch" which come with a big button that you can press to run the backup software. If they are using OSX Leopard, I tell them to use any external drive with Time Machine.

I don't know, but when I get to the first meeting in April, I will find out and certainly post it here for all to see. Good question!

From the rest, thanks for your support. I am excited to get a chance to have my pieces performed by musicians in the Cleveland Area.

Congratulations! It would be cool to hear a GPO version of one of your works vs. a live performance when that comes to pass.

Great news - I hope this is a good step for you.
