    Seagate Hard Drives

OK. I've heard a few times now that Seagate SATA is not a good choice when used along Gigastudio. Is this the only APP that produces problems and could it simply be lack of experience in setup or is it really an issue.

I'm looking at replacing my drives to SATA, perhaps 2 eSATA as well.
I like Seagate, had terrible luck with Western Digital, lost three drives in one year!

    Any thoughts, thanks..........

People seem to have had quite different experiences with drives. I have had great luck with both WD and Seagate and less with LaCie and Maxtor.

I have one of the Seagate Esata drives. It seems to have probems with seek time. I think if I leave it on, this might get ameliorate the problem.

    Thanks for the feedback.
It just seems odd to me that a particular brand of drive would have performance issues with a certain application like Giga.
    Mmmm. Who knows though.......

I wasn't aware of anything in particular with Giga. But, the seek time could be any issue whenever you are dealing with streaming samples, whether it is with Giga, Kontakt etc.
