Explorers in Space Suite Movements 2 & 3

I don't have the 1st and 4th movements yet, but here is the 2nd and 3rd.

Very nice stuff! Aspects of the second movement reminds me of Copland. Very enjoyable. Please share more of your tunes. Take care.

I liked this. Interesting contrast between the two movements, though I think I caught a few shared motifs. Gary mentioned Copland, I but I hear more of a Russian sound – maybe some Prokofiev with a hint of Stravinsky. One minor problem – both are cut off abruptly.

Yeah, I know. I'm working on making them both end better. They aren't exactly fully finalized.

It's kinda both Copland and Stravinsky. Copland was more subconscious, but I noticed it after I composed it. There was also some Shostakovitch thrown in there.

I enjoyed both of these, but liked Alien a little better.

    Well done

Well, I composed first one in only 20 minutes, so I can understand that that.

There are times that I wished being an Astronaut. Now the time has come... with one wish that I can take this music with me. Funny stuff, that must be very friendly Alien. Nicely done.

To say it's rather Coplandesque would be to diminish
with understatement -- though there's also a goodly
splash of Richard Strauss and Alexander Borodin at work
    in The Blue Planet.

Alien takes quite a wild ride from Stavinsky over toward
The Russians who preceded and later contemporized
    him.

Marvelous job on these, Cransworth, you've got quite
a toolbox of styles at your disposal, which is excellent.
Very well done... though inevitably I have a complaint:
I should certainly have liked to hear... more!

    My best,
