How stable is Kontakt 3 these days?

I bought Kontakt 2.x to run EWSO on a Mac Pro, and have found myself liking it a lot more than Giga/GVI. I'm thinking of upgrading to K3, but am wary of some reports I've heards of instability.

What's the status quo these days? Is K3 stable/mature, or still going through growth pains? I use Logic 8 on a Mac Pro.

With gratitude for your ornery, anecdotal opinionation,

I'm on Intel Mac 2.33 Ghz with Pro Tools.

FWIW I've found Kontakt 3 is certainly quicker and more stable than K2 in my environment - though I still need to use error suppression when unloading instruments.

I have no experience with Giga so can't compare that.

    I use both Kontakt 3 & GVI.
I found GVI more stabil than K3 & it needs less power consumption.
But GVI do not have so many features than K3

I recently got Kontakt 3 and its stable here.
I run it besides GVI and so far I had nocrashes at all.
It has great features, especially scripting caught my eye, but GVI seems to be better in streaming. I can load more samples in gvi than in Kontakt 3.
    best regards
