Here's the more interesting scoop...
Windows 7 will be like OSX, coming from OS9. No backwards compatibility, codebase being largely redone from scratch, legacy apps only running on virtual machines/emulation.
I think you'll find that it is probably a "test" version.
That doesn't contradict what I said, though I suppose I should have added the word "native" before "backwards compatibility". The point is that the OS will no longer natively support legacy apps, which is a HUGE change. This could affect a lot of us negatively - OSX running OS9 emulation for example is less efficient than OS9 running the same software natively.
