    My dad always criticized my beginning cello playing with eye twitching; I better send this to him.

    Ha. Some of that info about about how the bow sticks and slips on the attack of a note is what I imitated in my synthesized violin (still unfinished) done on a Nord Modular synth. It worked out very well.

    Suddenly all of my physics nightmares came back...

    and yes, violin is more difficult than piano for me.
