I continue to be impressed with some of the
results you're getting with this approach,
    Mike.

I might suggest you include a stock paragraph
or so with each, to clue people in a little better
on what you're doing and how you're going
    about it.

    My best,

    David

Thanks again David and an excellent suggestion so here goes

The performance multi adds a number of features to the Garritan Libraries (Jazz & Big Band, Personal Orchestra, Stradivari Solo Violin, Gofriller Cello and Concert & Marching Band) for the Kontakt 2 Player.

The multi provides the ability to vary note start timings to help humanize quantized sequences. Rather then random variations, the multis humanization are based on a sequences phrasing moving forward and behind the beat depending on note values. Timing variations are selectable via midi messages and supports separate settings for each midi channel.

The Performance Multi scripts Modwheel, Articulation, Length, Legato and Portamento for all legato instruments in the JABB, GPO & CoMB libraries. The Multi script models phrasing in real time based on note characteristics such as speed, length, overlap and space. The scripts will correctly interpret phrases based on the instruments capabilities.

Tuning, Timber, Air Noise, Key/Valve Noise, Growl/Flutter and Vibrato are script generated with user definable strength on a channel basis.

This multi includes instruments from all the Garritan libraries; JABB Flute, CoMB flutes, oboe, clarinets, bassoon and french horns, GPO english horn, harp and section strings and the Stradavari and Gofriller

Sounds pretty good. There are a few points in the “interpretation” (if you can call a modeled rendering “interpretation”) that don’t sound exactly right, but no more so than if a person rendering it. The only part I didn’t really care for is the flute had too much air sound for my taste – for something like this I like a cleaner sound. A little more reverb might be in order, again, taste. Other than that, I really enjoyed it - I always have a soft spot for Debbusy.

    Thanks for the feedback trentpmcd,
This was a straight rendering with an unaltered midi file using the multis default settings. This includes the flutes air noise, reverb etc
All the instruments sound parameters are adjustable via CC messages. sending a cc12 with a 0 or low value will lessen the flutes air noise. Likewise the AUX convolution IR can be changed as can the dry wet settings. of course other 3rd party reverb could also be added but i'm trying to demonstrate what can be achieved soley with the libraries "out of the box". I think the strings in particular could also use some adjustment with the script settings and the midi file.

Debussey's one of my favorites too.
