And now for something completely different

There are some wonderful, wonderful pieces posted here.

This is definitely different but, features the Strad and Goffriller.
Oh yeah, GPO flute, French Horns and oboe too.

I hope you like, it's called Home...

Very nice TobyBrez. Nicely recorded and orchestrated.

The only criticism is that the end went on a bit too long for me without some more variation, but that's just my opinion.

Is this part of a bigger project?

Thanks a lot Steve! Yeah, the end is the "chill" section. ;-)

Not so much part of a bigger project unless I can write about 9 more with some continuity and then I may have a few cd's duped for family and friends.

    Thanks again!

    Beautifully done, Toby!

I thorougly enjoyed this... subtly put together,
nothing overstated, well balanced with just
the right nuances in the vocals and harmonies
    and strings and percussion.

The only area I might have a second look at
is the relatively long instrumental segment at
the end. Lovely work... but perhaps this is
another whole piece? Might make a good
interlude, for instance, between other cuts.

This is gorgeous work, my friend. Please!
    Bring us more!

    My best,

    very nice Toby,
I too think it should fade out while the flute and oboe do their thing.
Possibly lower the resonance "EQ" on your vocal.

I have liked your musical ideas ever since your first particpation with the Garritan Christmas CD.

    Thanks for posting this Toby.

Thank you so very much David. I really appreciate your input and the nice warm welcome.

This was my first original composition post here and I wasn't sure it would fit in with so many great orchestral pieces. As time will allow I intend on listening and contributing more.

Who knows, I may even try my hand at a full blown orchestra piece. :-)

Hey Dan, nice to talk to you again. Thanks so much for the kind words and the great tips.

That reminds me; I better get started on this years Christmas piece. It's April after all! ;-)
