    Garritan GM Refill Demo

Been testing the forthcoming General Midi Reason Refill that Gary is working on so I thought I'd post a tune.

An ambient effort (I can hear the groans!), wanted to get away from the more conventional instruments and of course there is a banjo in there.

I liked this, Tony; found it restful and interesting
at the same time... there's a relaxing flow to it,
a lulling gentleness that, yet, engenders anticipation.

You called this an "ambient effort", Tony -- how
exactly did you go about putting it together?

Maybe I'm finally starting to "grok" New Age... lol?

    My best,

I liked it also. Reminiscent of some of Paul Winter's work, where he would go out and play his sax to the wolves. There is a bit of a "dialogue" thing going on in this that I enjoyed anticipating and listening for the "answer."

Nice work on this, Tony. It will be great to have some quality GM sounds one day. Regards, John (bigears)

Banjo in an ambient piece... it's banjient!

Cool stuff, Tony; quite creative and very musical in conception and performance. Not only was the banjo inobtrusive, you made it "fit" seamlessly into what definitely would seem to be a "square-peg-in-a-round-hole" situation. Loved it!
