Suite for Strings - 2nd movement (Sirulnikoff)

This Suite for Strings is an old (1956) score of mine. I've never actually heard it in performance before. As a matter of fact, I think it was my thesis for my MusBac at McGill. There are no comments on it, or any mark indicated.

The first and third movements are also posted together with it if you are interested in hearing them.

    Regards,

    Jack

Fine writing for strings in this, Jack... and I thoroughly
enjoyed the rich and inventive harmonic work.

It's a pleasure to hear your orignal work, and I hope
we'll be hearing more of it. There's a Romanticism to
the thinking in this that I find especially appealing, and
    very well accomplished.

    My best,

Thank you for your comments, David.

I guess in those days I was attracted to the late Romantic style; I recall my teacher (Istvan Anhalt) particularly talking about Max Reger.

    Best Regards,

    Jack

This seems like a score from a 40's or 50's movie. I am sure it was received well when handed in as your thesis.

    Well done

    Hi Ron,

    Thanks for listening.

I don't think I had any movies in mind when I wrote that, but, of course, that's ther listener's prerogative.

    Best Regards,

    Jack
