I figure teenagers have sounds that we gezers can't stand, so it's only fair. And if Kid-Be-Gone doesn't get 'em, there's always old Perry Como records.

Hi fellow baby boomers, we KNOW our music was good because they are still playing it today and the "geriatric" bands are still touring to packed houses...

Kids today, though, won't have that luxury. 30 years from now nobody will remember what gangsta' rap or hip-hop was.

I admit, the "Mosquito" is helpful, but a bit stereotypical...

It might be teens who are mostly causing the trouble, but still... not all of us are like that. D:
string quartet (ˈstriŋ kwȯr-ˈtet) n. a good violinist, a bad violinist, an ex-violinist, and someone who hates violinists, all getting together to complain about composers

That guy was trying to make annoying useless chit chat... Can't he take a hint?!

That song is annoyingly catchy, though; I won't be able to get it out of my head!

Catch song of the middle-aged generation,

-- Karen (just turned 46, hard to believe!!!) and still loving the old progressive rock (in fact, a riff of The Who got snuck into one of my orchestral pieces, don't tell! If you can figure out which one, you'll win a prize

Hint: its one of my earliest orchestral pieces and an anagram of the movement name is "prune lard" if you use the "r" from the name twice. A good anagram for us old folks)

Re: For those with, or exposed to, teenagers

After watching this a couple of days ago I called my wife into the room and made her watch.

When it was done I turned to her and said, “This is me to the ‘T’ when I was kid, only my favorite was OK”. Which is true (“How was school?” “OK”)

She looked at me with an “are you nuts” expression. “When you were a kid? You’re still like that!”

I looked at her and said “yep”.

Oh well, maybe that’s why I express myself as a musician instead of as a stand up comic…..
