Finale users - I'm sure this has been asked a billion times...

Is there any way I can save audio (use GPO) as an MP3 without having to save it as a WAV and converting it EVERY TIME (in Finale)? I may just be lazy, but when I make something really small and wanna show someone, it's kinda annoying having to convert every audio file.

    no.
for the time being, Finale saves anything using VSTi to WAV rather than MP3.

I believe that saving the WAV file is already taxing enough on the CPU and on Finale's capabilities without also asking it to compress the audio output on the fly as well.

YOu can always convert the wav to an mp3 later, which gives you a lot more flexibility for the quality of the mp3... There are plenty of inexpensive programs that can do that out there...
