    Fall Offs In JABB

    Hello,

I'm working on a project with JABB in Sonar. I enter the controller value in Piano Roll View but the notes previous to the one I want to fall are also falling.

Also, the actual fall on the "principal" note, while it sounds really good, is very soft. It isn't heard in the mix.

    Any ideas?

    Thanx!

    Hey, Jon,

    Thanx for coming in.

I actually had to put the "0" value before the notes prior to the "principal" note. That seems to be working.

As for the volume, the note itself is quite loud, but it is the fall that is soft relative to the note. The mod wheel is at the "half-way-up" position. Maybe I need to "gain ride" the fall?

O.K. I "gain rode" the fall offs and they are audible. I don't know if this a work-around or if it is a case of operator error.

    Got yuh!

    Glad you got it working!

I believe that falls offs should diminish in volume anyway, isn't that how they're played ?. Altho of course you need to hear them

cc29 must have been added in the K2 interface as I don't remember it in the earlier Kontakt 1.53 version. Maybe I need to read the manual with K2 version!

    Hey, Jon,

    The saga continues ....

Are you looking at the printed manual? Mine has no "page 68".

    Jon,

I was a beta tester for JABB for the original version and don't remember that controller so I'm sure it must have been added for KP2 especially since it was an addendum.

Noticed your in Toledo, Ohio. I was born in Oregon, OH at the hospital on Route 2 which I can't remember the name of at the moment. My parents both grew up in Toledo and I have some relatives there. You live close to my favorite amusement park, Cedar Point.

yeah, it's page 68. It's listed under the heading "Addendum To The Trumpets", so it's entirely possible that it was an addition with the move to KP2.

    Jon
Where and how do I check to see which version of the Kontakt player? If I need to, how do I upgrade?

    Thanx!
