    Arrow 1st Steinway project: Liadov-Prelude

    Hi to all,

My first Steinway project is finished!
It was an enormous pleasure working with this instrument!
Now I can give a ‘recital’, without worrying about stage fright, butterflies in the tummy and forgetting what comes next, and all this from the comfort of my own chair.

A funny thing happened one day as I was practicing this piece. I suddenly heard a bird on my terrace joining me. It did it so well that I was thinking: ‘what a talented bird’!
When I finished playing it continued to sing…
So I peeped out into the terrace…

There was the bird… sitting on one of my cucumber pots… eating happily the flowers… and singing its delight…

    Enjoy!

Lovely...just lovely! You did an excellent rendering job, Miss Yudit and I am proud of you.

If you played that in real time, I am even MORE proud of you.

    Best regards,

I'm thinking: "What a talented SUNbird!"

I woke up to this beautiful piece of music. What a way to start the day!

Would you mind posting your Steinway settings (persepective, Eq, ambience)? Thanks in advance.

The next piece I will post will be a piano piece. Believe me it is nothing like this one. I could never p[lay anything like this, nor compose like this one. This was a joy to listen to.

This is a very lovely piece. I had to move to a different machine, as the link wouldn't work for me at first. I'm very glad I persisted and was able to hear your piece. The birds outside my window are pretty noisy this morning, so I re-listened with headphones. Very nice, indeed. I would also be interested in the settings you used on this. It sounded a bit light in the lower register to me, although that might be my set-up. I did listen on both monitor speakers and headphones. Thanks for sharing with us, John (bigears)

    Yu did it:

Absolutely beautifully performed. Warm tones and
flowing melody with such a grand accompaniment.

Looks like you have the GAS (Garritan Authorized Steinway)
lit as you are cooking up elegant music, Yudit.

Very nice rendition of a little-known piece by an under-represented composer; I gather his output was not great. So thanks for posting it -a very attractive piece. I would agree John with that the bass is a just little bit light - but that's easily fixed.

    Hi Yudit,

Very lovely... so pretty it hurts!

Impeccably performed with wonderful sensitivity and musicality.

Thanks for bringing this to the forum.
