    "Without You"

    All,

This is my "Without You", a work for piano and small orchestra.

The piano is JABB. All of the other instruments are GPO.

    Regards,

    Hello Larry,

Very nice piece, nice tune and nice rendering. I like the buildups and then going back to just piano - that's nice.

An interesting excursion, Larry, essentially a simple,
old-fashioned tune that reminds me of the salon
music of the beginning of the last century -- yet
couched in Classical furnishings. Nice job on this!

    My best,

Enjoyed listening to this Larry. Nice tune with a touch of JSB in the accompaniment- none the worse for that!
Thanks for letting us hear this.

    Hi Larry,

Catching up again after a frantic close of the school year these past few weeks. I know I must have missed one or two or yours, but I saw this one waiting!

I really got caught up in what I definitely perceived to be the "Saturday night classic BBC Television" feel of this; almost melodramatic, but with a harmonic and dynamic restraint that keeps it very well-grounded and thoroughly enjoyable. Really, really nice piano work, supported and supplanted at just the appropriate times and levels by the strings.

A very classy job on this Larry. One with which to sit back this evening with a warming glass of Merlot. I think I will!

Thanks, as always, for offering your talents here.

    ...and have some wine also.

Thanks very much, Mr. Danny, for the nice review. Appreciate it, my friend.

    Enjoy your off-time this summer.

    My best to you,
