    Maniacal Mutations

A short time ago, I posted a link to Jubilation Mutations. This present offering is a two piano-four hand version, with a new title. I will probably do more two piano works. I am not absolutely sure that this version is easier to play, but I sure like it.

The original, if you want to compare:

    Richard:
I like both versions but lean toward the new one. Does mean I'm going crazy?

With Steve, I think this newer version is the better
    of the two, Richard.

Especially in live performance -- it would likely add
more dimension to the piece, spatially.

    Best,

    Richard,

Great drive to this piece! I was surprised (but not disappointed) to hear something as tonal as this from you. Your versatility has resulted in what is obviously a fun romp for the ear and for both players as well, I'm sure.

I also vote for the second one. It sounds like a cross between barrelhouse and erie romanticism. It's like drinking beer and dancing while digging a grave in a cemetery.
