Wavelab 6 vs Soundforge 9 OT: Good tool for pitchshifting dialog tracks/voices/sfx

These have caught my interest so far:

Reapers Reapitch: Can use Elastique2, Elastique 1, Dirac and Soundtouch algorithms <-Cheap alternative

Cubase Studio 4: Mpex3 algorithm <-Cheap update from my SL3

RBC Voice Tweaker 4.2: Last time I heard the voice tweaker it sounded crap, but things might have changed with newer versions

Soundforge 9: Dirac algorithm <-more expensive, but maybe a good investment since I dont have a payware audio editor

Maybe there are some alternatives I´ve missed? Melodyne isnt what I`m after, seems that is more a pitch correction tool for vocals not dialog/sfx.

    Formant adjusting is important.

    Any tips are welcome!

Edit: too bad Soundhack is Mac only. It´s freeware and I read some cool things about it. http://www.soundhack.com/freeware.php

I'll vouch for elastique. It's extremely subtle, works great in realtime, and since it's within Reaper it's free to try out any time. Just kinda a shame they don't have it as a separate VST, though.

Will Roget: Yeah, elastiqe seems very nice. Are you using it in Reaper or in another host/plugin? Have you used it alot in your sample / music production?

Not sure I can use it realtime in Reaper, but offline processing is my main goal for it anyway.

Will try it out for sure.

Really nice website (and music!) btw.

Anyone else wanna share your thoughts?

Wavelab 6 vs Soundforge 9 for pitchshifting dialogue voices

    Elhardt: Looks nice!

I´ve been recommended the tc helicon hardware aswell.

    Another similiar question:

How´s the pitchshifting in Soundforge 9 vs Wavelab 6?
