Topic: Some of my film score

    Some of my film score

    Hey everyone.

This is an exert from the Dogs of Chinatown film score I have been doing that I would like to share with you. The film has been picked up for an international distribution deal with Fantastic Films LLC which is pretty cool!

Further information on the film itself can be found here:
http://allacesmedia.com/dogsofchinatown/. The film is now also on IMDB.

Anyway here is an mp3 file for listening, it is about 25 minutes long. I am still finishing bits and pieces to the rest of the score. The score doesn't run like this in the film (it's 90 minutes) - I have just pasted sections of the score together into one track.

Very nice! I particularly like the opening piano theme.

Very evocative, Chris. I really enjoyed it. Best of luck on your international distribution - the score is definitely a selling point!

I have allowed myself a short time to try to catch up with all of the music here, so I do not have the time to try to listen to all of this.

The music is indeed very cinematic and congrats on getting a deal with Fantastic Films.

    Hey Chris,

It seems this will be a "tear-jerker" of sorts ...? The first 3/4 of music is very emotionally moving. Enjoyed the percussive surprise toward the end.

Not only is the music composed well but the production and rendering are superb! The sound quality is awesome. Great job! and congratulations.

Sounds very nice. Great work. Though is there any reason why from about 5 minutes on, it's all in mono?

My apologies for not getting to this sooner, Chris. I've
    actually listened through it several times now, while working;
plus one serious listen last evening while simply gazing out
at the night sky and pondering.

This is truly beautiful work, my friend, that reaches into
the heart in its softer moments; and drives it to beating
faster in the ascensions of tension. The simplicity and clarity
of other parts, sparse and elemental, are riveting in
    their subtlety.

Forget the movie... lol. Release it as an album!

    My best,

Chris - At such a tender age you are doing very well in this business. I wish you all the best.

I wish I could see the film and the music together and will certainly be watching for the film when it comes out.

    Sounds really good!

    Great score Chris.

A "dark" cinematic approach, but I don't know the full
story. I'm sure what you wrote really substantiates
    and supports the film action.

Nice rendering. Like your work. Keep writing--you have
a long time ahead of you for greater and greater success.
