Help this noobie please... and a little challenge to the experts

HI, I recently got GPO and Stradivari hopping to improve the realism of my old midi and Guitar Pro creations. I find that it is a fine step up, but I still can't get it right. I'm not used to use a midi keyboard or controller (and I don't own one) but I bought this software because it said that it was fully "point and click" programmable. I use Cubase.

    Well, straight to the issue...

    - I find that the Stradivari sounds a little harsh and out of tune compared to the solo violins from GPO
    - Solo cellos and basses sound too "movie score" but little "virtuoso solo"

I know that I'm not getting good results because I'm still not good enough so I will show you and example and I ask for your help to improve the final result.

This is the original file which I'm trying to achieve

    This is my desperate attempt

Is the original file unattainable with GPO And Stradivari? I, will be very happy to hear your attempts and read your recommendations. I leave this raw (very raw) midi as reference.

PD: GPO is great for background orchestra ;-) i'm just struggling with soloing
    PPD: forgive my poor English

    Thanks!

I only work in Finale, but I've found some things in common with your problems.
Out of tune usually comes from changing dials(higher.)
Try only setting the reverb section with more reverb without altering any dial.
I don't know if you're using a notation program, but there are good dynamic markings for changing attacks on notes.

Hi, I'm not clear on whether you are using a keyboard controller or not. If you are entering everything with a mouse you have your work cut out for you. There are members here who use that approach and might be able to help you, if you can get their attention.

Here is the link to a good many tutorials on the Garritan web site that may help.

I do not work with sequencer software, Shaolin; strictly
in Finale notation. In that I also do not use a keyboard
or any other hardware controller, however, it does proffer
    some of the same challenges.

Using an instrument like this -- at least if you want to
bring life to it and realism -- requires a lot of working with
detail... careful shaping of dynamics, for instance, is
    particularly important.

I will say it took me a while -- but with a little time and
practice, I'm sure you'll get there!

    My best,

    David
