Help! I need a female voice.

Okay, so the Garritan Choir hasn't come out yet, and I need to use a female soloist for something I'm writing in Finale with GPO. My friend has Fruity Loops Studio 7, so we thought that I can use GPO for everything but the solo vocalist. I could just make it MIDI, and he could use Fruity Loops Studio 7 to sample something like a solo soprano singing in C. The only problem was, it is kinda hard to find a sample of a soprano singing a C. Then we tried me singing in falsetto and tested it out on In Trutina (from Carmina Burana). http://www.box.net/shared/2a08qqg0gc
As you can see, the result wasn't too great.

So, does anyone have any helpful suggestions other than buying a $1,000 program to get a realistic soprano soloist sound using either Fruity Loops Studio 7 or Finale?

    EDIT:

CRAP! I didn't mean to post it in the Listening Room! Sorry!!!!

Is there a music school or college near by? A student may be able to help.

    Hi
I've been having the problem of needing soloists for one of my compositions recently. The best thing I have come up with is Virtual Singer from myriad:

You need to download Harmony Assistant as it comes with it, but you can get it to sound OK with some tweaking. And it's free!

    Cransworth,

Are there any latin lyrics or is just "ahhs"? I know Carmina Burana but I don't know this part.

Provided you are using GPO for the instrumentation (since this is a Garritan forum), I can help by using EWQL Choirs.

If you send me the mp3 of the music alone and a separate midi track of just the vocal sopr part I can put a solo soprano voice in it for you. Provided the words don't matter. She can sing any vowels, variations of vowels and a bunch of pre-rendered latin phrases. Or, alternatively, I can use Wordbuilder and a group of sopranos can sing what is typed.

    Let me know.

Other than suggesting an operation, I think a number of
members here use Magnus choir, which is inexpensive.
And there are likely other free VST's that would be
serviceable, which you might find at KVRAudio.com and
    similar sites.

Also, perhaps a note to our very own Karen Peace --
Karen does a lot with vocals, with fine results.

    Best,
