Thanks marce and el-russo.
The package contains some useful things in general, but the loops are exactly what I was looking for!
Cheers.

Ok. I've played with this free library a bit now. It has some great sounds: drum sets, guitars and basses, keyboards, synths and some ethnic percussion. And they sound great.
I guess they are trying to hook us with the free version so we'll end up buying one of the full versions. Funny, but that just might workIt's not at the top of my "to buy" list, but I would consider Independence Pro if I had some extra cash.
Both 70 gigs of high quality instruments and a whole bunch of FX including an IR reverb seem to be a good reason to buy it.
I was impressed by acoustic guitars. I wrote a piece for the harpsichord and then I tried it on the guitar from that lib. Check this out:

The acoustic guitars are amazing, they sound more like guitars than guitars; and what about the little drum roll placed on the handclap key, nobody has tried that before - at least not on anything Ive seen. Its worth it just for that.
Whats on the next version up, any good sounds?

There is another developer that is giving for free a copy of their sampler, called UviWorkstation.
It´s not in the same league that yellow tools, imo, but there are some nice useable sounds. The program is an unexpired beta, so they expect some kind of bug report, but it works ok in my machine, and it have some useable sounds, some ethnic loops and interesting fx.

You need to download the sampler and the soundpack optionally.

Thanks for this! Two questions:
1. Do I need to install the library before the application or the other way around?
2. Can the library reside on a different drive, and if so, can this been done at installation or does it have to be moved afterward?
Thanks!
Install the application first. The application have a "test library", so it can run without the soundpack. You can install (really is a zip file, so you unzip it anywhere), and then you make a shortcut of the soundpack file called "Soundpack DEMO.ufs" in the \program files\UVISoundbanks\ folder that the installer created.
This instructions are in a readme file in the zip of the soundbank.
