    Smile Moonlight-vocal&theremin

Here is a song called "Moonlight". (Tsuki no Hikari)

    Lyrics & Music: Manzo
    Vocal: nagi
    Theremin: Miquette
    JABB Electric Piano: Jun Yamamoto

    http://hys.art.coocan.jp/nagi/mp3/tu...080616_fnl.mp3
(Caution!: The file might cause trouble with SCMPX)

Any input will be welcome. The song is singing a romantic scene under moonlight.

    Sincerely,

Now there's something you don't hear everyday....the Theremin!
That is an interesting combination. I very much like certain qualities in her voice, a bit of a mixture of youthfulness and maturity. Although I don't know a word of the lyric, I "get" the feeling. Nice job on the keyboard too. Solid accompaniment without getting in the way. Thanks for sharing! John

Hey, this is a completely different style, you normally post here. In the middle of my work getting the STRAD sing, this is really nice. Is that high voice the Theremin? If so, great!!! Overall impression: just a great song. And now the translation, please. My japanese is not that good, you know. Congratulations.

    Re: Moonlight-lyrics translation

Here is a rough translation of the lyrics...

"Moonlight getting into through the window
We are alone, a beautiful night.

Off the lights, I feel like a king,
then you must be a queen,
Who is very gentle and pretty

    Moonlight getting into my mind
I am lonely, a lonley night.

Off the lights, I become a dreamer
    Goodnight the quiet darkness
    Goodnight the stars
    Goodnight the stars"

    Jun,

This is excellent, the bending sound of the thermine really adds to the effect. And your soloist really sang beautifully. Thanks for sharing it with the forum.

wonderful! I'm enjoying this on a warm summer evening. the composition is very nice & jazzy, i also liked the well dosed vocals and the spacy theremin solos.

a quite special and successful collaboration, congratulations!

Thank you, John, for your kind comment. Many more theremin performances can be heard in Miquette's web site (sorry only Japanese)

Basically, "8th note" is indicator for a recording. Click right part of the "8th note" usually opens mp3 file.
