    Hymn To Hope

something new from me again. A piece for string orchestra, choir, flute, piano and occasional timpani It's not very complex, but anyway, you can get it here: http://www.box.net/shared/urx7e27sww

Well, I wouldn't worry about being purposely complex in your writing. The simplistic yet thoughtful flow of this work displays a wide spectrum of complex human emotions from complete despair to hope. That, in itself, is a very hard discipline of composing which many struggle to accomplish.

The orchestration, progressions, melodies, and rendering sound "top notch"!

Brindle, this is lovely... in its simplicity and melodic beauty,
it just wraps the listener up and carries him off... just
    gorgeous writing.

I might suggest a little lighter hand with the reverb, as,
to me, it tends to obscure the line and beauty in places.

Perhaps you might consider extending this? It stands
well as a pastoral hymn; but there's so much more in it!

    My best,

    David Sosnowski
