    Bartok, GPO and CMB

Here is my arrangement of the Bartok Roumanina Folk Dances for concert band. This consists of GPO except for saxes and euphoniums which are CMB.

There are five movements, with a brief pause between each section.

    A pleasure, Bruce.

Well done, well thought out, well balanced arrangements
of these dances that effectively bring out their character
    and flavor and color.

Nice job on the rendering -- and these should perform live
    quite nicely!

    All my best,

    Bruce,

Great rendering of this work. Sounds and feels very believable, like a really good wind ensemble. Thanks for posting it here.

Thanks for the comments and replys from David, Steve, Yun, and Gary.

I am disappointed that CMB has not brought out more band compositions and arrangements.

The Bartok was recorded directly from Finale. I'm not totally happy with the results but I feel that they give a good reading of the piece.

I have some other items which I'll post in the near future.

    Hi Bruce,

What a pleasant surprise to see a post by you in here! And it was thoroughly enjoyable... I'm impressed! I've always been a Bartok fan, and you've done just a great job with this arrangement.
