Is it possible to have an out of tune piano?

I'm using GPO for Finale, and for my piano in a certain piece, I would like to have a couple of the keys out of tune. Is there a way to do this?

    Hi,

I'm not familiar with Finale, but I'll try to help. You could copy/paste the notes that you want detuned to another track and erase them from the main track, and run the detuned piano to that track under a different channel.

I hope that I am making sense and that it's possible to do that in Finale.

    Good luck!
    Take Care,

Have two staves, one in tune, one for out of tune notes, both on separate tracks. If you're using GPO or JABB or other Garritan prog you can detune one instance of the piano by operating pitch bend, on the standard setting thats two semitones in 4096 stages or 1/20 th of a cent.

Thank you, that's exactly what I needed.

As a heads up to anyone else trying this, I needed to manipulate the pitch bend using the midi tool. If you do this, you then need to go into the human playback settings and specifically tell HP to recognize the pitch midi data. Human Playback only immediately applies tempo midi changes.
