Looking for a sound - sample wind into broken glass

    Hi,
    Imagine:
lots of broken pieces of glasses hanging on lines/strings, each piece on a separate line and they are clsoe to each other and the wind moves them, so they touch each other and they make some strange chime type sound - not in tune.
This is what I need. Can anyone help, please?
Which sample library has this kind of sample(s)?
    Stefan.

    VSL sampled glass chimes.
Don't know if it's the sound you're after.

And do you know which library from VSL?

    Justus,

Thanks. I have located the glass chimes in the VSL - I need the extended percussion library from them - this is unfortunately not in my budget.

    Any other library?

    Stefan.

    Sonivox Symphonic Percussion Collection
    Vir 2 Elite Orchestral Percussion

    Both have Wind Chimes.

If you have access to any form of sampler this is an easy effect to do.
I did a track ages ago with an intro like this by just sampling several empty glass bottles and jars struck with various objects (experimenting with suspending them on a string for maximum resonance!) - and playing them back on the keyboard in a random and abitrary way. Using several objects overlapped avoids the tonality atributed by the sampler.
Another hint would be to be very sparing with the amount of notes - I think I also added wind noise to my track.

Hope this helps - it's certainly cheap, and rewarding when it works!

Also check out.... even if you probably already got what you wanted...:
ETNO World4 by Best Service... they have a whole lot of good stuff including windchimes under the category Dream Catcher....

Definetly cheaper than VSL... enjoy either purchasing or sampling yourself...
