All of Y'all,
Here is my just-completed "Octet Number Two".
The instrumentation consists of one each: trumpet, horn, tenor 'bone, tuba, flute, oboe, Bb clarinet and bassoon, mostly GPO and JABB.
Long time no listen.
An enjoyable, uplifting piece.
An interesting ensemble, sort of a small band I guess.
I caught the dissonance you tossed in.
A very interesting and bright piece. After hearing loud obnoxious music while walking in the streets of New York City on my way home, this song made my day. Thanks for posting this!
I'm not sure how this forum was back in 2004. But I assume it was very active back then.This forum just ain't what it used to be when I joined back in 2004.
Ripping good brass work in this, Larry; as well as your
characteristically fine handling of the woods.
I'd say this is one of your best recordings, my friend;
much enjoyed the piece.
Thanks, Friend David. Your comments mean a lot to me.
